Galaxy Aviation's New State-of-the-Art Facility Opens Its Doors at PBI

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (Sept. 2002) - Galaxy Aviation of Palm Beach celebrated its five-year anniversary recently with the completion of a new 11,000-square-foot terminal and luxurious office complex. The new construction also includes 95,000 square feet of additional hangar and office space and an additional 350,000 square feet of aircraft parking.

Its wing-shaped roof easily recognizable from the air, the new state-of-the-art terminal features 30-foot-high windows ramp-side, and an open, light-filled lobby. The new terminal also includes convenient features such as a pilot lounge, crew snooze room, flight planning room with WSI weather service, conference and meeting facilities, Hertz on-site car rental, and much more.

Galaxy's former terminal and office complex was donated to Missionary Flights and the Civil Air Patrol in a gesture of goodwill to Galaxy's Missionary friends and fellow aviators.

Brad Kost, president of Galaxy Aviation of Palm Beach, said customers have responded positively to the newly completed facilities. "We now have outstanding world-class facilities to match the unsurpassed level of service Galaxy's guests expect and enjoy here in Palm Beach," he said.

Galaxy Aviation of Palm Beach recently ranked as one of the top 25 FBOs in the U.S. in the 2002 Professional Pilot magazine "Preferences Regarding Aviation Services & Equipment" (PRASE) survey. Although Galaxy Aviation of Palm Beach has received recognition on the PRASE survey three out of the five years of its existence, this year's jump to the top-25 list marks a significant milestone for the growing operation. In addition to this operation-wide honor, Tracy Kvalsvig, customer service manager for Galaxy Aviation of Palm Beach, was voted number 11 on the list of top CSRs by Pro Pilot readers. This is the third time Tracy has made this top-15 list of FBO employees in the past four years.
